The progress this week on Sacred Music Coach has been pretty amazing. First, the website now exists. Here we are!
More important, I had a chance to talk with some new friends – Pepper, Eric, Barbara – and reconnect with an old friend, Jon, about my ideas for group coaching in this area. Everything isn’t clear yet, but the pieces are falling together.
First piece: Doing a trial run, a “beta test” if you’re a computer geek like me. Good idea, and will really help to articulate exactly where people are receiving value.
Second piece: The possibility of offering 1-on-1 coaching along with the group coaching. It’s a great way to offer more value, and ensure that each individual is getting the most they can out of the experience.
Third piece: My connections with musicasacra.com as a first focus and to connect with a strong need. Great idea, wonderful way to get started – and this might possibly propel my career into great new directions I’ve never envisioned.
Fourth piece: Payment. It’s a sensitive issue, as we’re all struggling to squeeze the most out of every penny. But when something delivers great value, it’s expected that fair payment follows. That’s not the sole reason why I’m getting into this, of course, but I’ll only be able to sustain it over the long term if it’s worth my time and investment. I’ve seen this happen with some of the coaching I’ve done in the past, and I want to make sure Sacred Music Coach makes a deep and lasting difference.
Progress! Progress! Feels wonderful. And a little scary, yes.
